Jalapeno Apple Butter Wings

Jalapeno Apple Butter Wings

Jalapeno Apple Butter Wings are very easy to make, so perfect for when you’re having folks over to watch the game. Place thawed organic chicken wings, I get mine at Trader Joe’s, in a Ziploc bag overnight with chopped garlic, fresh rosemary and Spike seasoning. Squeeze in a little lemon juice and massage the sealed bag. Refrigerate overnight.

I am adamant about using organic chicken primarily because it is antibiotic as well as hormone free. We need our chicken to be free of antibiotics because if we eat animals fed antibiotics, we are more likely to come down with drug resistant bacterial infections. Penicillin as well as other antibiotics are no longer working to fight human infections. Our bodies are more readily able to fight off the infection if you don’t consume antibiotic tainted meat.

Certain hormones have been associated with increased risk of cancer of the colon, pancreas, endometrium, breast and prostate in particular. The risk is serious enough that the European Union has banned all usage of growth hormones in meat, fish or poultry.

Go to Crispy Chicken with Garlic & Rosemary for my perfect every time, foolproof steps for roasting and/or baking chicken. I coated the Jalapeno Apple Butter Wings with the apple butter the last 10 minutes of cooking.
